Aston Villa signs historic sponsorship deal with Visit Rwanda
English Premier League club Aston Villa has signed a landmark partnership with Visit Rwanda, making Rwanda’s tourism brand the new front‑of‑shirt sponsor. This replaces Betano, the betting company previously featured on Villa’s kit.
The deal follows the Premier League’s decision to ban gambling companies from advertising on the front of player shirts starting with the 2026/27 season. Aston Villa’s commercial director, Francesco Calvo, led the search for new sponsors, securing what insiders describe as the most valuable sponsorship in the club’s history.
Visit Rwanda is already a familiar name in European football, Long‑term sleeve sponsor of Arsenal (since 2018). Front‑of‑shirt partner with Paris Saint-Germain. Partner with Atlético de Madrid. By moving to Aston Villa’s shirt front, the brand gains maximum visibility in the Premier League, European competitions, and global merchandising.
Aston Villa is one of England’s historic clubs: Winners of the Champions League 1982. UEFA Europa League champions in 2026. Recently re‑established as a top contender in the Premier League
This partnership aligns Rwanda’s tourism promotion with a club enjoying renewed success and global attention.
