On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni unveiled a new government lineup, dropping several long‑serving ministers and introducing fresh faces.
Matia Kasaija (Finance & Planning) replaced by Henry Musasizi.
Gen. (Rtd) Jeje Odongo (Foreign Affairs) replaced by Amb. Dr. Adonia Ayebare, former envoy to Rwanda.
Betty Amongi (Gender, Labour & Social Development) replaced by Lt. Gen. Henry Tumukunde Kakurugu.
Gen. (Rtd) Moses Ali (Second Deputy Prime Minister) replaced by Dr. Crispus Walter Kiyonga.
In total, 29 ministers were not reappointed.
