Ashton Hall explores Rwanda’s Bigogwe cultural tourism

On Sunday, July 12, 2026, American celebrity Ashton Hall visited Bigogwe, one of Rwanda’s most renowned cultural tourism destinations celebrated for its cattle‑based traditions. He was accompanied by Enock Uwizeye, popularly known as Kagarara (Ashton Small), and Yogendra Kushwah, nicknamed Indian Ashton Hall.

The group spent the morning with local herders, learning about the central role of cattle in Rwandan culture. Highlights included: Viewing Inyambo, the long‑horned cows admired for their majestic appearance.

Participating in traditional practices such as roasting maize, lighting fires for cattle, listening to pastoral flute music, milking cows, and drinking inshyushyu (fresh warm milk). Hall expressed deep appreciation for the hospitality, describing Rwanda as a beautiful country he hopes to explore further in future visits.

Ngabo Karegeya, co‑founder of Visit Bigogwe, hailed the visit as a milestone for promoting the area internationally. With Ashton Hall’s massive following of over 20 million on social media, Karegeya believes this exposure will attract more visitors and elevate Bigogwe’s profile on the global tourism market.

He emphasized the commitment to preserving Rwanda’s cultural heritage, particularly the symbolic value of cattle, ensuring every visitor leaves with memorable experiences.
