The Basketball Africa League (BAL) has returned to Rwanda for its sixth edition, running from May 22 to May 31, 2026, at BK Arena. Beyond the games, fans will enjoy performances from top African artists, making this year’s tournament a fusion of sport and culture.
Kenyan star Bien‑Aimé Baraza, known for his hit Ayayaah, opened the tournament with a live performance. Joining him are Ugandan sensation Joshua Baraka and Tanzanian rising star Abigail Chams, all set to electrify Kigali crowds.
Rwandan talent is also in the spotlight, with Ariel Wayz, Kivumbi King, Juno Kizigenza, Ish Kevin, and DJs like DJ Ira and DJ June performing during opening ceremonies, halftime shows, and the closing event.
