M1 opens new chapter with “Blessings”

After more than a decade in Rwanda’s music scene, Nzamwita Olivier Joseph (M1) has reached a new milestone. On July 24, 2026, he released his latest single “Blessings” alongside the announcement of his own studio, One More Music.

The Dancehall artist, known for hits like Ibihu, Perfect, Iyo Foto, Uritonda, Brenda (with Bruce Melodie), and Juliana (with Umutare Gaby), says the new studio will allow him to produce consistently and independently.

“Every artist dreams of owning a studio. It helps you create more without limits,” M1 explained.

“Blessings” carries a spiritual message of gratitude, reminding listeners that despite human flaws, God continues to bless and forgive. The track was produced at One More Music by Producer Skills, with mixing and mastering by Uganda’s Herbert Skills. Its video, directed by Shebuge, was shot in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

M1’s move to establish his own studio reflects his determination to expand his craft. He previously ran a video production studio before COVID‑19 halted operations, but now returns with renewed focus on music. Fans who enjoyed Ibihu and Perfect can expect more frequent releases as he reconnects with his audience.
