Rwanda’s Kwibohora32 celebrated in Central African Republic

CAR President Touadéra joined Rwanda’s Kwibohora32 celebrations in Bangui, highlighting Rwanda’s liberation legacy and lessons for African governance and development.

On July 4, 2026, Faustin-Archange Touadéra, President of the Central African Republic, attended the Kwibohora32 celebrations organized by Rwanda’s Embassy in Bangui. The event brought together CAR government officials, diplomats, Rwandan nationals, peacekeepers, and friends of Rwanda.

Rwanda’s Ambassador to CAR, Olivier Kayumba, emphasized that July 4 is a day to honor the men and women who stopped the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi and laid the foundation for Rwanda’s unity, security, and development. He noted that the commemoration reinforces Rwanda’s collective pledge to safeguard the liberation legacy for future generations.

CAR’s Foreign Minister Sylvie Baïpo praised Rwanda’s liberation as a powerful lesson for African nations. She highlighted Rwanda’s achievements in governance, economic growth, technology, and youth and women empowerment, describing them as proof of visionary leadership and resilience.
