Rayon Sports welcomes Cameroonian goalkeeper Dande Junior

Rayon Sports FC has officially welcomed their new goalkeeper, Dande Junior from Cameroon, who arrived at Kigali International Airport on Wednesday evening. At 28, Dande brings experience from Canon Sportif de Yaoundé and a stint with AS Vita Club in the Democratic Republic of Congo. His signing comes after the departure of Kwizera Olivier, who played a crucial role last season.

Dande joins a competitive goalkeeping unit that already includes Drissa Kouyaté from Mali and Mugisha Yves from Rwanda. His arrival is part of Rayon’s broader recruitment drive, which has seen the club sign several international players such as Boris Gbenou (Central African Republic), Charles Tchaplaou (Chad), Abbel Matumona (DRC), Antonio Atisso Kodjo (Togo), Issa Djiguiba (Mali), Ibrahim Djingarey (Niger), Muderi Akbar (Burundi), and Herman Junior Kameni (Cameroon).

On the local front, Rayon has also strengthened with new Rwandan signings including Ndayishimiye Didier, Nshuti Didier, Muhoza Daniel, Ndikumana Fabio, Nizeyimana Mubaraka, Nisingizwe Christian, Hakizimana Zuberi, and Iradukunda Elia Tatou.

All these signings are part of Rayon’s preparations for Rayon Day, scheduled for Saturday, where the team will face Kenyan giants Gor Mahia in a friendly match. Fans are eager to see how the new squad gels together, with Dande Junior expected to play a key role in strengthening the team’s defense.
